ABOUT THE PROJECT 

KRYJÓWKA is a typical construction project for a small, natural, healthy, year-round house that you can build yourself with a little help from professionals or an instructor. You can also commission a friendly company to build it for you. It is a small but comfortable house, designed so that the built-up area does not exceed 35m2, which allows you to build it without any additional formalities as a recreational or utility building. This significantly reduces the costs of implementation and increases the availability of this type of housing for people who do not need large spaces, like comfort, but also prefer minimalism. It is also a good option to start without a lifetime loan. You have your own corner, a place to snuggle up in a blanket and rest. The lower part of the house is also adapted for people with mobility difficulties and can be used by older people. This project is an answer to providing oneself with the possibility of a beautiful, cozy, natural home all year round.

TECHNOLOGY:

In the project, we tried to pay great attention to the health of residents and the natural environment. Therefore, we designed KRYJÓWKA with natural, locally sourced, minimally processed materials with zero or very low carbon footprint. Its structure is wooden, two-truss and is adapted to be filled with natural insulation materials such as straw (straw bales), lightweight clay, hempcrete, or wood/straw wool. All of these options meet the thermal insulation parameters for single-family homes in WT 2021. Each of these options is described in the project. So KRYJÓWKA is a modern, ecological year-round house made of straw and clay as well as a year-round house made of hemp shives. The two-truss structure also provides more possibilities for finishing the interior and facade (a ready-made frame for cladding) and facilitates the installation of heavy elements on the walls inside. The building can also be made of prefabricated panels. It is proposed to finish the facade with natural planks protected with linseed oil or lime plaster, and inside with natural, healthy clay and lime plasters.

READY PROJECT:

The "TYPOWA KRYJÓWKA" PROJECT is a comprehensive construction project with elements of an execution project, in which you will find architectural, construction, and installation drawings including central heating and energy characteristics. The documentation includes four options for interior layout - basic: ground floor with a mezzanine, expanded: ground floor with a basement and a floor (two small rooms), and an option in two variants with spiral stairs. The project also includes options for autonomous electrical installations with photovoltaic panels (solar energy) and a composting toilet. The documentation also includes an alternative to block foundations: tire foundation. Which option you choose for implementation and what fits in your budget, whether it's a more basic and minimal form or a more complex and autonomous one - it's up to you, as the project includes them all. The documentation also includes a list of wooden and steel elements to facilitate your orders.
